The Seven Horcruxes

The seven horcruxes will keep everyone interested as they work to remember them.

Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring / The Resurrection Stone

This is a fun twist for your scavenger hunt, as the horcrux Marvolo Gaunt’s Ring and the Deathly Hallow the Resurrection Stone are the same thing!

 Tom Riddle’s Diary

Whether you just add Tom Marvolo’s name to a notebook or you go for an authentic looking Tom Riddle Diary Notebook, do not share your personal thoughts and feelings with this book.

  Salazar Slytherin’s Locket

If this is just for your scavenger hunt, the first Horcrux Locket and Sticker Book are a good bet.

If you’re in this for keeps, try out the second, more authentic Noble Collection Horcrux Locket.

 Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup

This authentic Helga Hufflepuff Cup can be easily substituted with a thrift shop find and some golden spray paint.

Rowena Ravenclaw’s Diadem

Grab your special artifact from the Ravenclaw house, the Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw.

Nagini

He Who Must Not Be Named’s maledictus is best placed where it can startle!

This Nagini, of the Nobe Collection brings the true films vibes.

Whereas, this simpler Fake Snake Prop is merely reminiscent of the horcrux’s dangerous aura.

Harry Potter

The seventh horcrux himself. We recommend you have a friend act as the Chosen One.

This tends to leave Harry Potter as the final horcrux found, and the whole process a creative and fun experience. For those looking for a quick, easy, essentials option, look no further than this package deal for the Harry Potter costume essentials

See our Harry Potter Costume for even more options.

The Deathly Hallows

The Elder Wand

Few wizards ever held the Elder Wand, and fewer still held the Deathly Hallows. Only two wizards are known to have held them at once, Albus Dumbledore and Harry Potter. Strike fear into your fellow wizards as you hold the Wand of Destiny and the Death Stick.

The Resurrection Stone

Whether you display this or wear it on your finger, the Resurrection Stone is a fun find in the hunt.

The Invisibility Cloak

The last of the Deathly Hallows, the Invisibility Cloak makes you one of the most fearsome wizards in history. Note for muggles: it even comes with an app that reveals the cloak’s magic.

The Protections of the Sorcerer’s Stone

Fluffy the Three Headed Dog

Have a niece, nephew, small child you like? What better gift could you regift after the party than a three headed dog? Fluffy the Three Headed Dog Plush offers so much more to love.
For those without a small loved one, this more accurate Fluffy the Three Headed Dog is collectible as well.

Devil’s Snare

Devil’s Snare is hard to replicate. These Fake Vine Ivy Leaves, Garland, Room Wall Decor should do the trick though.

For those truly dedicated to authenticity though, Datura Stramonium is a plant commonly known as thorn apple, jimsonweed, devil’s trumpet, and amazingly devil’s snare. It’s tough to get out (accurate, as we know from the books) and could be in your backyard.

Flying Keys

These Vintage Skeleton Keys, with Dragon Fly Wings and 30 yards of string are the easy DIY hack for a few flying keys in a doorway.

Broomstick

Of course, you may choose to add a broomstick or two to the above doorway.

Obviously, your own personal broom has the essential traits required here, maybe with a “Nimbus 2000” or “Firebolt” well placed upon the handle with a permanent marker.
For those dedicated to the cause, this Nimbus 2000 Broomstick is a three-foot replica that would serve you well.

Wizard Chess

Knights usually come with shining armor, but not always. Dress up your home set or grab this Wizard Chess Set and watch it smash itself to pieces.

Poisonous Potions

Pair these Mini Glass Bottles with Cork Stoppers 44 pcs with this Food Coloring Set 12 pcs 10ml bottles to brew up some of your favorite potions.

Be sure to print your preferred potion’s name out and adhere to the bottle!

And, finally, you could add this Cauldron Soup Mug with Spoon to add some flare (and score yourself a bowl for later).

Mirror of Erised

This Mirror of Erised is so quaint, so cute, and so styling, you’ll want to add this near the exit of your home or another place where you’ll see one of your greatest treasures (you!) every day.

That or you can adorn your own mirror with the inscription “Erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi” and call it a day.

Assorted Fun Finds

Snitches

These are a perfect addition, as they act as a clue as well as dessert!

Using a base of Ferrero Rocher Fine Hazelnut Milk Chocolate or your own homemade treat, add these Wizard Party Snitch Wings Cupcake Toppers. Watch out for the Resurrection Stone inside!

Sir Cadogan

We recommend you search for a picture of Sir Cadogan (preferably mid-sprint), download it, upload multiple copies to a MS Word or other document, and print!

We added these little knights to a number of our personal pieces of art and had folks scavenging the corners of everything to find him.
Sir Cadogan only briefly cameos in the movies but remains a beloved book character as an overeager, underachieving (Don Quixote-like) knight running through the Hogwarts Castle paintings.

Hedwig

Hedwig the Snowy Owl is a constant in the books, well worth including in your hunt.

Dobby

Dobby the House Elf, may he rest in peace, sacrificed himself to allow us the Harry Potter series ending we needed. Do him the honor of including him on your list!

Buckbeak the Hippogriff

One innocent begets another. Buckbeak the Hippogriff is a worth addition to your list.

The Sorting Hat

No party is complete without a sorting hat handy, especially when it’s this Talking Sorting Hat with 15 Phrases.

Floating Candles

There’s no easier way to make your dining room look like the great hall than the addition of some floating Flickering Flameless Candles with Remote, Tapered, Battery Operated.

Hint: pocket the remote and be sure to turn these on with a flip of your wand!

These particular candles will require some Clear Fishing Wire to pull off the floating effect.

We created a fishing wire web using our lighting fixtures to give the 3D aspect like the movies, you might consider some sort of tack or other to affix to your ceiling! Just remember to use caution, as you want to firmly affix them to your ceiling to save your feet.

Ministry of Magic Entrance

Fortunately for us, every party features at least one entrance to the Ministry of Magic with this Ministry of Magic Decal Sticker.

TriWizard Cup

Light up the room with this shiny TriWizard Tournament Cup (or your nearest thrift shop find) to remind your fellow witches and wizards just who won the TriWizard Tournament and (to all but one person) outclassed the age restrictions as an underaged wizard.

Room of Requirement

You have plenty of flexibility as to where to place this fun sign for the Room of Requirement sign can highlight most any room in your home, including the lavatory – just ask Dumbledore.

King’s Cross Station 9 3/4 Brick Wall Entrance

The entrance to platform 9 3/4 is a wizarding must for parties. This Brick Wall Party Backdrop meets that need.
